"How to sail through an application"

A half-day course devoted to learning how to correctly file your chambers applications using the procedures as set out in Part 8 of the BCSC Rules.

At the end of your studies, you will be able to have:

* an understanding of how to set up a file in order to prepare for a chambers application
* an awareness of how to respond to an application
*an understanding of the applicable Rules of Court and related forms used in filing chambers applications
* the ability to have an Order entered by the registry on an urgent basis
* an understanding of the jurisdiction of a master and a judge
* an insight on how to deal with lay litigants.

This session offers:
  • an interactive class providing hands-on practice;
  • a limit of 14 participants, to ensure optimum learning;
  • a Desk Reference Manual, including useful checklists.
