Limited Legal Services (LLS): Their Access to Justice Role from YYZ to YVR (ACL LLS 101)

Heather Hui-Litwin is a non-practicing lawyer from Ontario, she focuses on access to justice and self-representation issues.

Heather will be facilitating a discussion on how limited legal services (or limited scope retainers) can be:

  • used as an access to justice tool;
  • what practice considerations there are; and
  • what challenges to plan for.
She was a self-represented litigant for a duration of her lawsuit.  Her remarks will be based on her own experience as a litigant, and also on her practice as a lawyer. (More about the work she does:

CPD: 1.5 hours including 1 hour in client relations, ethics and professional responsibility.
